Rock Physics Laboratory
The Rock Physics Laboratory is a public, research-oriented facility focused on understanding subsurface fluid properties, rockāfluid interactions, and their seismic signatures. RPL combines laboratory experiments, rock physics theory, well-log analysis, advanced seismic imaging, waveform inversion, AI/ML, and computational methods to support frontier research in energy and environmental applications, including oil and gas, geothermal systems, carbon capture and storage, fractured reservoirs, and subsurface monitoring.
